Presence Competency for Experts
Training a group of colleagues in a technical or specialized field, and passing along technical knowledge, is a new and difficult undertaking for many experts. The key to successfully passing along the subject matter is to have a confident manner and natural self-confidence when dealing with the unexpected.
In the foreground of every presentation is the presenter’s personality – since only personality can create the atmosphere, build trust and generate interest. In this seminar, you be able to ask yourself these central questions:
- How can I enter a room with an authentic aura and presence, and create a positive first impression?
- How can I consciously make use of my body language while I give presentations?
- Which status (my aura of self-confidence and influence) should I assume during a presentation and when does it make sense to change this?
- How do I deal with the “difficult” participants?
On top of this, what affects the persuasiveness of a presentation is precisely how the presenter deals with unexpected situations: using exercises from drama and improvisational theatre, the participants improve their improvisational skills and practice quick wittedness.
Our Approach
We allow participants to practice presentations and we offer feedback (possibly using video analysis). We also make use of exercises from the drama and improvisational theatre, hands-on role playing, and group work.
This training is intended for
Experts who are tasked with conveying their technical knowledge to colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders./
