Vitale Systems - Cultural Development and Sustainability
An intensive course dealing with the central themes of organisational culture and learning
"It is a fundamental difference whether employees feel powerlessness or a sense of self-efficacy when faced with confusing and over-burdensome conditions."
*GWS Forum 2006
Organisations have known for some time that their capacity to act given the complexity of our times is based on more than efficient processes and structures, intelligent systems and clear goals or objectives. The organisational capacity or ability to act derives its strength as well from human passion which employees use to go the extra mile, from past experiences that employees utilize and thus “bring” into the company, and the informal relationships that reach beyond hierarchy and information silos to expand the collective knowledge and intelligence of the organisation.
In our opinion, the essential questions that speak to an organisation or company’s ability to act and develop sustainability are:
- "What do people in our company learn in terms of ways, methods, or style of dealing with others?"
- "What are people already bringing with them to the company in terms of ways and methods?"
- "What are the areas of untapped potential that exist within the organisation?"
"If the work environment stinks with transitional culture of constraint, compliance, control and contract then do not be surprised if engagement, productivity, customer service, employee’s and customer’s loyality stink."
